INSTRUCTIONS
Task 2: Data Collection
Week 04 (24/01/2022) - Week 06 (07/02/2022
As for our 2nd task on data collection, we collected data through online methods such as interviews, surveys (Google Form) as well as published materials. Initially, we planned on collecting data by visiting a few Japanese clay stores. However, the research destination that we planned on going to had moved to a new location.
After we had a discussion, we work on the task given accordingly and collect the data on Google Docs before we transferred all the data on the slides. Hence, here is the draft that we've been working on.

Below are our full detailed version of the data collection that we have collected through interviews, survey, and published materials.

FEEDBACKS
Week 04 (26/01/2022) General Feedback: Tied the idea to the theme and develop the idea accordingly.
Specific Feedback: Demonstrates an understanding of research methods, is resourceful, and has a wide scope, yet focused. The presentation is clearly researched but the presentation is not cited. Evidence of brainstorming/idea exploration is implicit in the thinking and presentation and thus good. Effective written communication, clearly stating and justifying the selected theme, concept & approach of the research, but not supported by the relevant citations.
Week 05 (31/01/2022) General Feedback: Relate the theme purpose of the idea on teacups.
Specific Feedback: Demonstrates decent observational and research skills through a significant collection of various materials, using relevant tools, Documentation of collected materials is written somewhat clearly with comprehensible communication skills, clearly reviewing the contents of the sources. However, it would be good and necessary practice to restate the RQ & RO along with the theme, and how the RQ/RO relate to the questionnaires used (interview/survey/book), With that, your conclusion will state how the collected data answered the RQ and fulfilled the RO. It will also indicate implications for design output in-line with the when highlighting the result part of your conclusion.
Week 06 (07/02/2022) General Feedback: Think like a fine artist when creating the products/output as well as determine the best medium (digital/physical).
Specific Feedback: Decide on how we wanted to present the teacups and relay the message to the audience.
REFLECTION
Experience: After we had our discussion and the presentation on the preliminary ideas, we narrowed down the ideas by collecting data through interviews, surveys as well as published materials to further get insight on the finalized ideas. Hence, as the data we collected has fulfilled our research objectives & research questions, my groupmates and I are working on the final process of the task.
Observation: As the data has been collected and we have finalized the final output that everyone agrees on, we are working toward the final process in which we have to determine how we wanted to present the output and relate it to the theme.
Findings: Truth to be told, there were a few times my groupmates and I struggled and even questioned ourselves if we were on the right track as this task was challenging in the beginning. To come up with something that is uniquely done in which it needs to revolve with the given theme 'purpose', as well as to convey the message to the audience, my groupmates and I worked very hard on it. Along with Mr. Vinod who constantly provides us and other groups with encouragement and suggestions for us to explore in different ways in regards to our chosen idea.

Week 11 (02/11/2021) - Week 14 (26/11/2021) Shamiella Baziella Binti Mohamad (0333104) Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Digital Media Production) LECTURES Week 11: Visual Analysis 02/11/2021 Visual Literacy • set of abilities that enables an individual to effectively find, interpret, evaluate, use, and create images and visual media. Visual Analysis • a method of understanding design that focuses on visual elements and principles. • a description and explanation of visual structure for it's own sake. Phase 1: Observation • closely looking at and identifying the visual elements and describing them in your own words. • looking, thinking, and finding good language to communicate what you notice Phase 2: Analysis • think about your observations and make statements about the works based on the evidence of the observation • identify how the design combine together to create a whole? what effect that whole on the viewer? Phase 3: Interpretation • observation...
