Week 05: Poster Development
(20/09/2021)
In this week's lecture, Mr. Fauzi introduced us on the conceptual poster design development for our next project.  Hence, there are few tips before actually started making a poster such as;

• Do research on a topic
• Define the concept for the poster
•  Start to develop the design of the poster

Creative poster is made up of four key features;
• Title
• Graphic
• Text
• White Space

INSTRUCTIONS

TUTORIAL
As for our tutorial, we were required to edit (exposure editing) a photo 'Hearst Mansion' by using these two pictures below.

Part 1: Hearst Mansion & Reflection

Figure 1.0: Pictures

Mr. Martin and Mr.Fauzi also prepared us a video demo step-by-step editing the pictures as well as the slides for us to understand better on the photo editing.

PRACTICAL

Then, after watching the video we were asked to edit the picture by following the video demo prepared by Mr. Martin. By using the same steps on applying the Shazam picture, we were asked to insert our own picture by using the same mansion picture.

Part 1: Shazam Hearst Mansion

For this exercise, we were asked to use the quick selection tool in PS, to select the Shazam and adjusting the color correction by adding match color, noise, adjusting the brightness and contrast as well as adding blur for a better effect.

Part 2: My Reflection Hearst Mansion

As for the 2nd part of the exercise, we were asked to insert our own pictures by applying the same steps from the previous exercise. Below are my progression and final edited version.

REFLECTION

For this exercise, little by little I learned a lot by using Photoshop by applying what I've learned throughout the tutorial and practical class. I also can follow very well and understand the learning process quickly by watching the video and the slides prepared by Mr. Fauzi and Mr. Martin. I'm very glad that there's more to learn every week in order to help us prepared for our next project.
